The organisation Changing Minds presented an award at the Film Festival: ‘Changing minds about mental health’. Their vision is to help society feel confident in their ability to support each other through tough times, to be able to talk about these moments safely and honestly without judgment or fear of discrimination and to recognise that people with even extreme experiences recover fully, and flourish because of these experiences, not despite them. Manurewa Intermediate has won this award two years in a row now.
